Campervan Insurance – Frequently Asked Questions
What is campervan insurance?
Campervan insurance is a specialist type of motor insurance designed for vehicles that are used for recreational use. It takes into account features such as conversions, fixtures and fittings, and how the vehicle is used (leisure, holidays, festivals, etc.).

We can quote for a wide range of campervans, including:
- Converted campervans and self‑builds
- Flat roof (also known as tin‑top) campervans
- High‑top and pop‑top campervans

- Left‑hand drive campervansIf your campervan doesn’t fit the standard mould, it’s still worth getting in touch.
Do you insure self‑build or converted campervans?
Yes. We regularly quote for self‑build and converted campervans. You will need an engineers report and CVRT.
Can you insure flat roof (tin‑top) campervans?
Yes. Unlike some insurers, we can quote for flat roof / tin‑top campervans, as well as high‑tops and pop‑tops.

Yes. Leisure use, holidays and festivals are commonly covered, provided this is disclosed at quotation stage.
